Hi, I'm Brooklyn!
I'm a Mental Health First Aid Certified Facilitator with lots of experience in education, crisis intervention, and counselling psychology.
Outside of facilitating mental health first aid, I am a Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying) working in private practice in Ottawa, Ontario. I also facilitate the course Positive Psychology online at Algonquin College.
I have front‑line experience supporting people in crisis and those managing long-term mental health diagnoses. In my psychotherapy practice, I support adults navigating anxiety, depression, ADHD and other forms of neurodivergence. My educational background is in Counselling Psychology (MA), Victimology (Post-Grad Certificate), and Religious Studies (MA).
My experience in crisis‑intervention, long-term counselling, and adult education all inform my approach to MHFA. I bring these perspectives with me as a facilitator to make the training interesting and informative.
I am offering two Mental Health First Aid programs:
Certification (2 days)
Essentials (1 day)
I can offer these services virtually across Canada or in-person in Ottawa, Ontario.
Please feel free to get in touch to ask any questions about my services!
